Breanna Hardy

  • Breanna graduated from San Francisco State University with her B.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing.

Breanna first became involved in the California writing community in 2016 when she was given a VIP invitation to the California Arts Council 40th Anniversary. It gave her insight into the broader possibilities of art culture available within the state that didn't seem present within her community. That insight would later support her in the creation of Solano Writers Society.

Her creative ventures include volunteering at the 2020 San Francisco Writers Conference; attending the conference's Poetry Summit; receiving three scholarships to take courses on California poetry, Shakespeare’s comedies and tragedies, and Shakespeare’s romances and problem plays with the Sacramento Poetry Center; and studying copyediting through the Editorial Freelancers Association.

Breanna is an active community developer beyond Solano Writers Society. She’s hosted community events ranging from dinners, picnics, hikes and more for the people of Solano County.

While she's not working for Solano Writers Society or coordinating events, Breanna is writing a collection of love poems focused on the ache for romance and the elaborate narratives the mind creates to cope without it.

Shea Robinson

  • Shea was born to a family of readers and writers who stoked the coals of her passion for words. As young as age two, she was spending time alone reading. You can find her reading six different novels at the same time, including those by other first-time authors and on audio. Her love for writing started in school. Elementary school assignments to author the story of the provided image. Middle school extra-credit assignments to create crossword puzzles based on the assigned reading. In high school, she won a few local writing contests which validated her efforts to continue producing material. In eighth grade, her first-person narrative about her first crush launched her from writing short stories to novels. She dabbles in all writing styles including prose, poetry, songs, raps, and plays.

In 2020, she got serious about writing as more than just a hobby, thanks to Solano Writers Society who gave her the space to show up every week and dedicate time to writing. Since then, she’s joined the Executive Team at Solano Writers Society, written four novels, winning NaNoWriMo twice, and publishing her first novel. She seeks to use her author platform to validate and uplift voices that have been silences. See what’s on Shea’s Bookshelf by visiting Elegance Press. When she's not not writing, she can be found listening to her husband nerd rant about superheroes for his movie review channel, dancing with her four-year-old niece, and dreaming about the last time she had French Silk ice cream in the fifth grade.
